Hello, this week in class, we had our presentations on famous speeches. My favorite speech presentation would be Armen Safarian and Andre Dzhambazian for many reasons. Their speech presentation on the Oklahoma bombing was a very interesting choice, and would catch the attention of everyone as the speech is for a important tragic event. Their PowerPoint presentation was also very nicely done and different from the rest, which is another attention grabber. They had analyzed the speech perfectly and showed the importance of the speech. The pictures were also very emotional and graphic, which added the emphasis on the seriousness of the speech and situation.
The language used in the speech showed how serious the topic is, and that it was no joke. This was a very tragic time in America, and they had used the right words to show the importance. The speech was a very heartwarming speech, but it said how they were going to move on and that it wasn't the end, as the energetic tone used during the presentation showed that it was only a minor setback for America, lives were lost that day, but none forgotten, the speech really made sure to remind us that. Lastly, the pictures used was enough to put us all in that same situation of the bombing, it was like we had experienced it ourselfs and was very touching for the whole class.

"Kadafi is another notch on Obama's lethal-force belt"
Hello, this week i read a very interesting article found in the Los Angeles Times, it is called "Kadafi is another notch on Obama's lethal-force belt". This article is talking about how Obama has taken down two terrorist leaders during his presidency, Osama Bin Laden, and Moummar Kadaffi. Moummar Kadaffi was captured and killed by Libyan rebels, and it is a great victory for the entire anti-terrorist world. This was great news for president Obama because it has shown how he is taking control of the terrorism problem, and has taken down terrorist leaders, including Al Quada leaders and now Moummar Kadaffi. Although this is a great foreign achievement, it is said that this has had very little effect on Obama's popularity, because most American's interests are on the economy at this time. Reporters say this can only help Obama against Republican debates when they call him weak, but it won't help him get more votes.
I found this article important to read because first, it saids how Moummar Kadaffi is now dead, and the Libyan people finally have there freedom and can work on fixing their country. Also it has strengthened US foreign policy, which is a great boost for president Obama, not so much as a popular one, but more of a self boost that he is doing his job. This article also shows how difficult it is to run for president, as Obama has taken down two important terrorist figures, but has barely affected his popularity. I really enjoyed reading this article and i am glad Kadaffi has finally been executed and the world, including Libya, can rest and help rebuild there country under a new government.

My Virtues
1. If i had to pick five virtue's to work on, i would start with laziness. I would choose laziness, because i should do more then what i have to for school, in order to do better overall. I started to read more in biology and making a effort to do better in the class.
2. Another virtue i would work on would be sportsmanship, i want to be a better athlete on and off the field. As i have had soccer game's throughout the week, i have showed more respect to the other team's players, and have gotten respect back for it.
3. A important virtue i would work on, is honesty. I would like to work on honesty, because if you are not honest, how can you expect others to trust you, or worse, how can you trust others to be honest wtih you! I have been working on this virtue by not lieing this week and telling the truth.
4. Another virtue i would choose is cleanliness. My mom always tells me to clean my room, and i need to do so, in order for my mom to stop nagging about it. I have cleaned my room everyday this week.
5. The last virtue i would choose is exploitation. Exploitation is using other's for my personal gain, which isn't right because you are lieing to the person for your own selfish needs. I have not taken advantage of anyone this week.

"Straw Into Gold"
Hello, this week in class we have read quite a few interesting autobiographies, and one of them was "Straw Into Gold." This autobiography was on Sandra Cisnero's, as she is the speaker. The whole autobiography would talk about her life experiences. She wrote a autobiography to show her life successes and what goals she has overcome that have made her a better person and find her true personality.
This autobiography is very interesting, because it shows a specific part of her life that she had a dilemma needed to overcome. The subject of this autobiography was doing something that was almost impossible for her to overcome. The tone was very exciting and overwhelming, as she didn't know what to expect to happen, or how she is suppose to do it, which kept us readers interested. As she would talk about the dilemma, she would incorporate her parents influences on her which showed us what kind of person she really is.
