To my Dear and Loving Husband

          This week in class we have been discussing a couple of interesting poems. One that I enjoyed the most was "To my Dear and Loving Husband". This poem was written by Anne Bradstreet, during Puritan times. She was writing a letter to her husband, and i enjoyed this poem more then the other's because it goes against the traditional rules of puritan writing, such as using emotions. The purpose of this poem was to inform and explain to her husband, and it has a romantic tone, because it talks about her emotions toward her husband. The main subject of the letter was the love of her husband, all of this goes against the Puritan writing style but she did it anyways because of the pursuit of love and expressing herself.
